YOU ARE HERE uses anonymous behavioural analytics to understand whether people can find a useful next step and where the app needs improving.
What we record
We record anonymous journey activity such as which route was chosen, whether results were reached, which result types were opened, broad device category, referral or campaign information, and search terms. If a postcode is used, analytics stores the outward area only rather than the full postcode.
What we do not use analytics for
YOU ARE HERE analytics is not designed to identify individual visitors. Names, email addresses and phone numbers are not requested by the analytics journey. Common email addresses, phone numbers and long number strings typed into free-text search are automatically redacted before storage.
Forms and ChurchSuite
When you choose to sign up, contact someone or complete a ChurchSuite form, that information is handled by ChurchSuite and the relevant church process. YOU ARE HERE treats a click as interest; it does not currently treat that click as proof that a registration was completed.
A connection tool, not a congregation database
YOU ARE HERE is designed to help people connect into church life. Public people shown in the app are limited to approved ministry and leadership roles such as Borough Pastors, ministry leads, connect leads and Small Group leaders. The public app is not intended to provide access to a general congregation directory, pastoral case information, personal addresses, direct phone numbers or private email addresses.
How long analytics is kept
Anonymous journey and event analytics is retained for up to 400 days so current activity can be compared with the previous year. Older analytics is automatically removed.
A note about free text
Please avoid entering confidential, pastoral or personally sensitive information into search boxes. Use the relevant contact or support route when you need to share something personal.
